DailyPractice helps you build a daily practice: routines, timers, streaks, and groups of friends who practice together. This page explains what we collect on the website (dailypractice.ai) and in the iPhone app, why, and how to delete it. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

What we collect

Your account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name, and your profile photo link from Google. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or a private relay address, if you choose to hide it) and the name you choose to share. If your account has a password, we keep your email address and a secure hash of the password, never the password itself. Sign in is handled by Supabase Auth, which also keeps the technical records needed to keep you signed in (sessions and sign in history).

Your profile. Your display name and photo, plus anything you choose to add: a handle, bio, favorite quote, location, website, the creators you follow, your time zone (used for reminders), and whether your recent activity shows on your profile. Your profile can be seen by other people signed in to DailyPractice.

Your routines. The routines and plans you save or build, including their steps, schedules, and reminder times, and whether you made a routine public.

Your practice history. Each time you finish a practice we record which routine it was, when you finished, and how long it took. This powers your streak, your stats, and your groups' activity.

Learning and music. Your progress in languages and courses (the steps you finished, check results, and how well you know each word, phrase, verb, letter, or tone), the words you save and their flash card reviews, the songs you write with their pinned chords, your daily list and its checks, and the spots you mark as tight. We keep these so they follow you to every device you sign in on. Only you can see them.

Your settings and records. Your onboarding answers (what you want to practice, your goals, times, and the fitness answers you give, like your weight and where it hurts), each time you stop a session because something hurts, the glasses of water you log, your Quick Start pins, the ingredients you avoid, your breathing adjustments and breathing pace, your language levels, where your walks left off in the phrasebook, your game scores and stats, your Inspiration videos and notes, and your metronome presets. We keep these so they follow you to every device you sign in on. Only you can see them, and they are never shared with groups or anyone else.

Reflections. If you use a journaling, gratitude, or ideation step, we store what you write so you can see it later. Only you can read it.

Groups. Groups you create or join, your role in them, and what you share there: practices you complete in the group, posts, replies, reactions, and nudges (including any photo, video, voice note, GIF, or message you attach). Other members of the group can see this. Public groups, and the practices completed in them, can be seen by anyone.

Studios. If you join a teacher's studio, you confirm you are 18 or older. Your teacher can see the practice they assign you: which days you practiced it and for how long, the fastest tempo you reached on its steps, and when you last practiced. They also see how many minutes you practiced each day, without what you practiced or when. Your teacher never sees your journal, how you feel, your food, your vitamins, or your other routines. If you are a teacher, we store your studio's name, instruments, what you assign, and your weekly email settings, and we send you a weekly summary you can turn off.

Notifications. If you turn on notifications on the web, your browser gives us a push subscription (an address and keys for that browser) so we can send you reminders and nudges. If you allow notifications in the iPhone app, Apple gives us a device token so a friend's nudge can reach your iPhone. Reminders in the iPhone app are scheduled on your device.

Challenges. The challenges you join, when each one starts, and the days you checked in, so we can email you the evening before a challenge starts and when you finish it.

Email choices. Which emails you get: practice reminders, challenge emails, and the Monday summary. Every one of these emails has a link to turn that kind off, and you can change them in Settings.

Usage limits. For features that cost us money to run, such as the AI tools, we keep a small counter of how many requests you made recently so one account cannot run up unlimited costs.

Errors and technical data. When something breaks, we collect error reports and basic technical details (browser or device type, the page you were on, and your IP address as seen by our servers). On the website we also record a sample of sessions, and sessions where an error happens, as replays with on-screen text and form inputs masked, so we can see what went wrong.

On your iPhone

The iPhone app works without an account. Your routines and practice history are stored on your device. If you sign in, they sync with your DailyPractice account so they also show up on the web. The app does not include advertising. It does send usage analytics and crash reports, as described under Usage analytics and crash reports.

  • Your onboarding answers, metronome presets, saved Inspiration videos and notes, and the other settings and records above sync with your account when you sign in. Before you sign in, they stay on your device. Signing out clears what belongs to your account from the device; it comes back when you sign in again.
  • Voice:when you use the microphone to add to a routine, your speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, on your device when it supports that (otherwise Apple may process it under Apple's privacy policy). We do not record or keep that audio. The text, or what you type instead, is sent to our server and to Anthropic's Claude API to work out what to add. When the app answers out loud, the text of that answer is sent to ElevenLabs to turn it into speech.
  • Voice notes, photos, and videos: a voice note you send, or a photo or video you take or choose for a group, is uploaded and kept like any other group post, so the people you send it to can play or see it.
  • Talk:when you practice a language out loud in Talk, your voice is streamed live to ElevenLabs so the conversation partner can hear and answer you, and the text of the conversation is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for feedback. The tuner and humming a tune work on your device, and what they hear is not sent to us. When you use your iPhone as the mic for the Apple TV's tuner, the phone sends only the pitch it hears (the note, how far off it is, and its frequency), a few times a second, to your own TV signed in to the same account. The sound never leaves your phone, and the pitch is not kept.
  • Singing: Find my range and the singing exercises use the microphone only while an exercise is running, to show your pitch as you sing. The sound is worked out on your device and is never recorded, kept, or uploaded. Only the range you find (your lowest and highest notes) is saved, and it syncs with your account when you sign in, like your other learning progress.
  • Apple Health: if you turn it on, the app saves your finished sessions to Apple Health and shows your steps, exercise, and mindful minutes. This health data stays on your device and in Apple Health. It is never sent to us, never used for advertising, and never shared.
  • Walks, runs, rides, and heart rate: location is used only while a walk, run, or ride is running, to draw your route on a map. Your route, steps, distance, and heart rate (from a Bluetooth heart rate monitor or your Apple Watch) stay on your device. They are never sent to us. Only that you finished the session, and how long it took, syncs with your account.
  • Camera and Face ID: the camera opens only when you choose to take a photo or video for a group. Face ID unlocks your journal on your device; we never see your face data.
  • Apple TV:to sign in the Apple TV app, you approve the code it shows from your iPhone. We keep the TV's name and that code for a few minutes, until it is used or expires.
  • Reminders are scheduled as notifications on your device. Their contents are not sent to us.

Usage analytics and crash reports

We use Amplitude to learn how DailyPractice is used on the website and in the apps: for example, which practices are started and finished, which Quick Start tiles are tapped, and when a group is created or joined. Once you sign in, these events carry your account's id, never your name, your email, or anything you type, and Amplitude does not keep your IP address. You can turn this off with Share usage analytics in Settings, on the web and in the app. When it's off, nothing is sent to Amplitude, and turning it off while signed in turns it off everywhere you use that account.

Sentry receives crash and error reports from the website and the apps, with your account's id and technical details such as the device, the app version, and the screen you were on, so we can fix what broke. Crash reports are still sent when usage analytics is off.

How we use it

  • To run the product: sign you in, save your routines and history, and sync them.
  • To show your practice to the groups you are in, and to people who visit your profile if you allow it.
  • To send the notifications you turn on, the emails you leave on, and a one time welcome email when you first sign up.
  • To answer the AI requests you make (see below).
  • To find and fix bugs, and to prevent abuse.
  • To understand which features are used, so we can improve them. You can turn this off in Settings.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

AI features

Some tools use AI. When you use “Compose with AI” to build a routine, or generate a drum or guitar pattern, the description you type (and any YouTube links you paste) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the result. When you generate a group or challenge cover image, the prompt you type is sent to Higgsfield. We send only what you enter for that request, not your account details or history.

Who helps us run DailyPractice

We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf to run the product:

  • Supabase: sign in, database, and file storage.
  • Vercel: hosting for the website and its servers.
  • Sentry: error monitoring and crash reports, and web session replays.
  • Amplitude: usage analytics, unless you turn it off in Settings.
  • Anthropic:the AI routine and pattern tools, and understanding what you say or type on the iPhone app's Add sheet.
  • Higgsfield: AI generated group and challenge cover images.
  • ElevenLabs:reading the iPhone app's spoken answers aloud, and the live voice conversation partner in Talk.
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Apple: delivering notifications to the iPhone app.
  • Google: Sign in with Google, and the YouTube Data API for reading details (title, length, chapters) of YouTube videos you add.
  • Giphy: GIF search when you attach a GIF to a nudge. Your search goes from your browser directly to Giphy.
  • Web push servicesrun by your browser's maker (for example Apple, Google, or Mozilla) deliver web notifications to your device.

Some pages also load content from other sites, such as embedded YouTube videos and fonts from Fontshare. Those sites receive your IP address when they load and follow their own privacy policies. Embedded YouTube videos may set their own cookies.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the service.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in. Amplitude keeps a random id for this browser in a cookie, so usage analytics can tell one visit from the next. The website also saves some preferences in your browser, such as your theme, your locally saved routines, and whether you share usage analytics. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, it is removed from our database right away. Copies may remain for a limited time in our providers' routine backups and logs, and error reports are kept for the retention period set in Sentry, after which they are deleted.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, on the web in Settings under Account, or in the iPhone app in Settings under Account. This permanently deletes your account, profile, routines, practice history, learning progress, saved words, songs, daily list, reflections, onboarding answers, settings and records (including your weight, pain, and stop answers), notification subscriptions, and everything you posted, replied, reacted, or sent in groups, along with every file you uploaded: your profile photo and the photos, videos, and voice notes you shared. It cannot be undone.

Groups you created stay open for their other members: ownership passes to another member (an admin if there is one, otherwise the longest standing member), who becomes an admin. A group where you are the only member is deleted. In the iPhone app, deleting your account also clears the routines, practice history, and settings stored on that device.

If you cannot sign in, email us at support@revolutions.io from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile and routines at any time, hide your activity from your profile in Settings, and turn notifications off. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

DailyPractice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access rules in our database limit who can read your data: you, plus the people you share with through your profile, your groups, or a routine you make public. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that your data will never be exposed.

Changes and contact

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the product. Questions or requests: support@revolutions.io.
